New Audi R8 Spyder

We have a treat for our great readers, deem the best looking Audi ever produced; here we have the first pictures on the new Audi R7 Spyder! Below are the pictures of this astonishing car, leaked onto the Internet a week before the vehicle was to be unveiled at the Frankfurt Motor Show in Germany this month.

Audi will most likely officially real more details regarding the R8 Spyder at the Frankfurt Motor show, however we do expect the Spyder to feature the popular 5.2 litre V10 engine, which produces approximately 520 BHP. As with most Audi’s, it will feature four wheel drive for better traction and several types of gearbox such as a six speed manual for real drivers.

Currently,there are no picture showing the roof of the car, we do know that it will be an electrically operated fabric roof, however unlike most roofs which are stored in the boot, this will be stored in the rear deck in front of the engine (like the Gallardo Spyder)! Personally I would have preferred an electric hard top roof for my £120,000, but that’s just me, from a visual perspective, the lack of side blades is noticable and the addition of twin vented flying buttresses.

The Audi R8 Spyder is to go on sale in the spring of 2010, for £120,000.
