“Manza” the next generation Tata Indigo will be unveiled in Mumbai on October 14th by Ratan Tata, Chairman, TataMotors.New Tata Indigo is going to be launched as “Tata Manza” and Though it is based on Indica Vista but TataMotors has tried to give New Manza a different look with all new headlamps, bumpers and well integrated boot space.
This model will be powered by an engine which is sourced from Fiat and will be made available with two engineoptions -1.4L petrol engine and 1.3L multi-jet engine.Other features of new Tata Manza include class leading interior space, and steering mounted controls.

Manza should be starting from five lakhs for the base model and will go up to seven lakhs for top of the line variant which is expected to feature ABS, EBD, Dual SRS Airbags, Alloy Wheels, Dash Integrated Music System etc.
TATA Motors has also initiated a tease website for Tata Manza Car http://indulgeinmanza.com

Design & Style

The nose of Tata Manza retains the Indica’s sweeping angular headlights, but the design inside the headlight is different from Indica Vista. Manza’s headlights are more bold looking with dual barrel shaped reflectors. Also the parking lights are well integrated in the headlights.

It features the same bold looking central crease line on the bonnet which gives character to the car. The turn indicators are mounted on the door alongside the rear view mirror like Indica Vista. The front bumper of Manza features a big air dam which is finished in black shade which also consists of round fod lights which give Manza very broad look and feels like a big car.
The front grille of Manza consists of four horizontal lines which is dominated by big Tata logo and chrome finish.

Rear of Manza is the best looking part with vertical tail lamps which looks quite striking and lends it a classy look. The boot of Tata Manza looks well integrated and part of the sedan unlike the current generation Indigo in which boot looks like a add-on. The top model of Manza comes with smart looking chrome finish alloy wheels. Also it comes with chrome strips on front and rear bumpers with body coloured side moulding on doors. The B-pillars of Manza have been blacked out to give it a feel of big cars like we have seen in Fiat Linea, Chevrolet Aveo and Honda City.

Interiors & Comfort

Tata Manza has also retained the spacious and comfortable interiors of Indica Vista. Though it comes with some high end features to give a upmarket look. No official pictures of Manza’s interior are available for now but it is expected that it is going to feature steering mounted audio controls, dash integrated music system, dual SRS airbags, high quality fabric seat covers, electrically adjustable outside rear view mirros and electrically adjustable driver’s seat.
First, it was expected that the dashboard design of Tata Manza is going to be similar like the Vista’s but the teaser image on manza’s official website shows that Manza’s instrument cluster will be behind the steeing wheel unlike Vista’s instrument cluster which is mounted in the centre of dashboard. Manza is also going to feature centrally mounted MID (Multi Information Display) for the driver like we have seen in Hyundai i20 and other segment leaders.
With all these features Tata Motors want to compete with the likes of Hyundai Verna, Fiat Linea, Maruti SX4 and Ford Fiesta. But in comparison to all these cars Tata products are low on quality, fit and finish. It is expected that Tata want to change all this with the launch of Manza and set new standards in terms of features, quality, ride quality and want to launch Manza as a true value for money sedan.
